As strata owners, councils and property managers, you have questions about how to install and manage electric vehicle (EV) chargers and systems in your strata corporation. On this page, you will find webinars, resources, and links to provide the information you need.
News! As of October 31, 2023 the CleanBC – Go Electric Charger Rebate Program has been recharged with $6.59 million in provincial funding to make the EV Ready Plan and EV Ready Infrastructure rebates available again. Townhouse stratas now qualify for funding for an EV Ready Plan. Learn more at BC Hydro: EV charger rebates for apartment, condo and townhome complexes.
News! On December 6, 2023, amendments to the Strata Property Act became effective with new Regulations that make it easier for strata owners to install electric vehicle charging stations in strata properties. Read our blog post to learn more. Also learn about the requirement for stratas to obtain an Electrical Planning Report. Note that an EV Ready Plan is not an electrical planning report under the Strata Property Act.
With new Provincial and Federal requirements that all new passenger car and truck sales be zero emission by 2035, it’s important that strata corporations plan for the needs of owners and residents.
CleanBC – Go Electric Webinar Series:
This series dedicates separate webinars to each of the four rebates offered by the CleanBC – Go Electric Charger Rebate Program.
While a few details have changed since presented in 2022, these webinars still offer valuable information about the steps involved in your project, EV charging infrastructure, operating costs and management of these systems, and how to comply with the Strata Property Act every step of the way.
