The Vancouver Island Strata Owners Association (VISOA) provides services to all stratas (condominiums, townhomes, bare land stratas), owners and associate members in British Columbia. It is an independent, non-profit organization that was formed in 1973 and is supported solely by membership fees. Membership is open to all residential/business strata corporations that have registered with the B.C. Land Title Office as well as individual owners and non-owner associate members.
- Provides information to assist strata lot owners and strata councils in the management of their strata corporations.
- Advances the interests of strata corporations and strata lot owners to provincial, regional and municipal governments.
- Provides information and offers educational seminars on all aspects of strata management.
VISOA is staffed by a Board of Directors made up of volunteers who manage the day-to-day operations of VISOA’s business in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of the Association. VISOA’s Annual General Meeting is held in February in Victoria, B.C. Seminars and Workshops are held during the year throughout Vancouver Island.
Members are encouraged to send their thoughts and ideas to the Board in addition to adding their vote at the Annual General Meetings. All members have a voice in the operation of the Association.
